Kellemes karácsonyi ünnepeket és boldog új évet kívánunk! Our continued aim as we approach 2022 is to help our students have a safe and happy school where they will continue to learn, grow and thrive. However, with the support of the community and a collective view to remain positive, I have a strong sense we will continue to be successful. There have certainly been challenges and we know that these challenges will be with us as we start 2022. If you do get a moment over the coming break, I highly advise you to listen to Ms Anka's advice and take time to reflect on how the pandemic situation has affected all our lives.įinally, I must just say once again a huge thank you to all members of the community for a really successful term. This session has been recorded and will be shared in due course. This was a wonderful session in which we understood and reflected upon the changes we are all experiencing but also some practical and helpful tips on how we can support students to continue to grow both socially and academically. In the session, Anka highlighted the importance of routines and boundaries for students, especially as some of their most well-known routines have been disrupted in recent months. The session was entitled – ‘Supporting Families to Re-establishing Boundaries During the COVID Pandemic’ and it explored the challenges that we currently face with a change in family dynamics, child expectations and our own working practices.

On Monday, Anka Mate our school counsellor presented our final Parents In Partnership session for this term. I know many parents have taken the opportunity to read their child's midterm report and also taken the opportunity to discuss this with their child’s class teacher in the parents’ evenings this week. This has ranged from supporting the school with charity collections to decorating the school, which has helped us to feel festive and joyous at this special time of year.ĭespite it being the last week of term, the pace and energy inside of school have not faltered. We've also seen community involvement in many different ways. Looking back from when we started in those bright sunny days in August, we have seen the students make progress, make friends and make lasting memories in this first term of the academic year. From a community point of view, we have had many wonderful events including a Hallowe’en party, Parents In Partnerships sessions, fundraising events. I would like to congratulate all the students and teachers for a highly successful and busy term.

The solutions we design are compact and wearable to support real-life studies and interventions. Our designs support cognitive skills by teaching users to exploit and develop the untapped powers of their mind or by seamlessly supplementing users' natural cognitive abilities. While today's pervasive digital devices put the world’s information at our fingertips, they do not help us with some of the cognitive skills that are arguably more important to leading a successful life, such as motivation, attention, memory, creativity, communication, empathy and emotion regulation. Building upon insights from Psychology and Neuroscience, the Fluid Interfaces group creates systems and experiences for cognitive enhancement.
